They may be created by one of three methods:
- Choosing small sized varieties (tomato, aubergine, courgette..)
- Harvesting before complete development, so obtaining a firm vegetable that is full of flavour, having reached a stage of "juvenile maturity".
- Planting more densely with less space not allowing the vegetables to mature to full size.
For almost 15 years, the company BUTET has chosen the best products from the best sources for you, so that we can now offer you the best range of the highest quality baby vegetables.
Most of these products come from Africa, or to be more precise, Swaziland, Zambia and Tanzania, countries that have very stable and uninterrupted climatic conditions allowing for an almost continuous flow of baby vegetables.
They are available all year, without a price variation, a true concentration of flavour and freshness that will please even the most difficult pallet.
patty pan (green, yellow, mixed) • baby courgettes (long, round, green, yellow) • baby carrots • baby cabbages (red, green, romanesco, savoy, white) • baby fennel • baby aubergines • baby turnips (round and long) • courgette flowers • baby corn • baby leeks • baby asparagus • baby peppers (red and green) • baby chillies (birds eye and scotch bonnet) • baby chicory..
These products are packed in punnets of 250 grs x 6 pieces for Tanzanian products and in punnets of 200 grs x 6 pieces for those from Swaziland.
French products are also available but in a smaller range, but in a comparable quality.
These come from the South West of France or Brittany, fennel, turnips, carrots and leeks are available loose x 20 bunches or in punnets of 200 or 300 grs.
